Village Boards

The Village of Florida has four Boards, each overseeing a different aspect of Village governance.
In summary they are:

 

  • The Village Board of Trustees is comprised of elected officials who oversee the governance of the Village.
  • The Planning Board is responsible for directing orderly growth within our community, in accordance with Village¬† Zoning Laws.
  • The Zoning Board of Appeals is responsible for hearing and deciding on land use exceptions and variances.¬† It interprets and implements land use Code of the Village of Florida for residential and commercial property.
  • The Multi-Jurisdicational Hazardous Mitigation Committee assesses the needs of the township to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to life and property from natural hazard events.
