The Village of Florida has four Boards, each overseeing a different aspect of Village governance.
In summary they are:

 

  • The Village Board of Trustees is comprised of elected officials who oversee the governance of the Village.
  • The Planning Board is responsible for directing orderly growth within our community, in accordance with Village  Zoning Laws.
  • The Zoning Board of Appeals is responsible for hearing and deciding on land use exceptions and variances.  It interprets and implements land use Code of the Village of Florida for residential and commercial property.
  • The Multi-Jurisdicational Hazardous Mitigation Committee assesses the needs of the township to reduce or eliminate long-term risk to life and property from natural hazard events.
