The Village of Florida has three Senior groups that provide camaraderie and activities for Senior members of the community. No matter which one you join – and you can join all of them – you will enjoy fun and friendship that is close to home.

The Seward Seniors

The Seward Seniors meet at 12:30pm every 2nd Tuesday of every month with alternate Tuesdays scheduled for games and activities. Membership is open to all Village of Florida and Warwick residents 55 years of age and older.

No candidates for political are permitted to address the Seniors on political issues.

The Golden Floridians

The Golden Floridians meet every other Wednesday @ 12:30pm for refreshments and Business meetings on the first and third Wednesday at 1pm. The group was created several years ago out of the need to provide Seniors with a place for social, educational and recreational opportunities for seniors 55 and older. In doing so, it brought them not only leisure, but also a place to participate in activities that enrich their lives in many ways.  Games such as bingo, mahjong, dominoes, and a variety of card games are regular activities, as well as trips to places of interest such as museums, manufacturing plants and theatrical events.

Town of Warwick residents welcome.

The Flor-Wick Friends

The Flor-Wick Friends meet the first and third Thursday of each month at 1 P.M. The Friends welcome residents age 55 and over that live in the Town of Warwick to join us. Their purpose is to have a club that promotes educational, social, and recreational opportunities for Senior Citizens within the community.

The group enjoys trips to educational, historical and entertaining venues which include museums, shows, historic sites, and river cruises.

Meetings are lively, educational and entertaining. Guest speakers have provided our members with up to date and important information that is very pertinent to the senior community.

Flor-Wick members have formed several activity groups that meet before or after meetings or on the Thursdays of the month when meetings aren’t held.  These groups are involved in sign language instruction, knitting, and other activities. An exercise group has been proposed.
